January 16th Time Travel Series – Unconquerable Spirit: Women in the American West

Women throughout history have received the short-end of the stick. Often, their destinies are determined by the men they are tied to (Husbands, Fathers, Brothers). This prompt was suggested by one of my Patrons, focusing on the story of a 23-year-old woman, named Cas, and her travel from Pennsylvania to Abilene, Kansas to forge her own way. What kind of life could she have had? A bit freeing, really.
